About
How we check every number
Data last checked: · how we verify numbers
Every number on this site carries its source and a check date. We are editors and players — not MinaLima, not Warner Bros., not a news wire — so instead of confidence we offer receipts. This page is the checklist every article goes through before it ships, so you can judge our work by our rules rather than our tone.
The checklist
- Every number is tagged. [official] means it comes from MinaLima’s own rulebook, campaign page or FAQ. [BGG, 2026-10-12] means we read it off BoardGameGeek on that date. [our arithmetic] means we calculated it from official figures — and we show the inputs so you can redo the sums.
- We restate, never copy. Rules, tier descriptions and FAQ answers are rewritten in our own words with a link to the official origin. No page reproduces official prose wholesale — the official text stays at the official address.
- “They didn’t say” is a real answer. If MinaLima never published something, we print exactly that instead of filling the gap with a confident guess. An honest blank beats a made-up table.
- Unknowns get a box. Every page with uncertain data carries an explicit list of what we could not verify, so you can see the edges of what we know — not just the tidy middle.
- Checks are dated. Each page shows when it was published and when it was last checked (this site launched with everything dated 2026-10-12). Prices, availability and backer counts go stale; the dates tell you how stale.
- We say when we haven’t played. As of 2026-10-12 we have received no review copy and have not played the game. Review and buying pages open with that scope note and are built on the official rulebook, public data and named external reviews — never on imagined play. If we ever get a copy to the table, the page will say when, with which version, at what player count.
- Errors have a door. Spotted a wrong number or a misleading line? Email us — see Contact. Confirmed fixes get corrected on the page with the date we changed it, not quietly swept under the layout.
What we are not
This is an independent, fan-made guide. We are not affiliated with MinaLima, Warner Bros. Discovery, the Wizarding World or BoardGameGeek, and nothing here is sponsored. Harry Potter and all related marks belong to their owners; our job is only to describe the game accurately. We hold no products we didn’t receive, and we received none — so when we say a tier was worth it, that’s arithmetic talking, not a perk.
If that sounds like your kind of games journalism, the rest of the site follows these same rules — start at About or check how we handle your data in Privacy.
